Hiding in Plain Sight: Documentary Feature Work in Progress Screening with Luchina Fisher
Come see how documentaries are made! In this work-in-progress screening for director Luchina Fisher (Art 142 Intro to Doc Filmmaking), you will get to see her current feature project (90 min) in its rough cut stage and provide useful feedback in a moderated session with Thomas Allen Harris (30 min) following the screening. The project, “Hiding in Plain Sight,” is the unsung story of Black queer presence in music told through popular and lesser-known artists who shaped the sounds and culture we enjoy today. It will be broadcast on PBS. Organized by Associate Dean Anoka Faruqee.
This program is supported by the Yale University Poynter Fellowship in Journalism and the John and Kate Carrafiell Dean’s Resource Fund.
