“Scholar” a short musical film by Olivia Cevasco

The film follows Conrad, an artist at a crossroads, as he struggles to balance scholarship and artistic creation abstractly (what should he major in?) and more literally (a philosophy essay and the original song he’s writing compete for his time). His friend and philosophy professor apply a bit of pressure for him to pick either scholarship or art—but not both. Ultimately, in the act of finishing the sheet music for his original song and performing it with his a cappella group in his courtyard, Conrad finds the inspiration to write his philosophy paper, so he finds a way to unite the two. 

The film will feature an original song and shoot in the first two weeks of April, depending on performer availability.
